GLSA Recreational League

Preschool – 7th grade

Players are divided by gender and grade, with games on Saturdays at LTSC and practices held in neighborhood parks or school grounds. The program offers age-based small-sided formats and parent-coached teams.

Youth Academy

1.5 – 8 years of age

A pre-travel program for boys and girls that teaches the fundamentals while children have fun and make friends. Classes are led by Youth Academy Director Jen Jeschke.

U6 and U7

Players can experience GLSA Competitive culture through professional training without the time, travel and financial commitment of competitive soccer. Players remain on recreational teams while receiving age-appropriate training from GLSA professional staff.

U8-U19

FC 1974 uses a Performance Based Success Program that combines technical development with performance and results. Training is highly intense, competitive and demanding, with a focus on technically efficient players and a fast-tempo playing style.

The U23 women’s program provides a high level summer training environment for current college players and graduating high school seniors entering college to play soccer. Training is held at Libertyville Township Soccer Complex.

TOPSoccer

5-18

TOPSoccer is a fun program for children with physical and/or cognitive special needs, and it also provides a volunteer opportunity for coaches and players.

GLSA Adult Program

throughout adulthood

GLSA adult soccer leagues give men and women the opportunity to play recreational soccer throughout adulthood. The leagues are for fun, with no records kept and no trophies awarded.

Futsal1 program

FC 1974 Futsal

FC 1974 partners with SB Futsal and the Premier Soccer League to offer futsal training and play. The program emphasizes quick reflexes, fast thinking, precise passing, ball control and decision-making.

GLSA Recreational Summer Camp

6 to 14

The 2026 camps are conducted by FC 1974 Professional Staff and teach fundamental skills in an age-appropriate way through activities, games, contests and tactics for recreational play.

FC 1974 Summer Camp

Rising u8-u11; Rising u12-u16

The six-week series offers Soccer Ball Mastery, Possession Play and Elite Goal Scorer’s Finishing camps. Sessions develop technical ability, possession, decision-making and finishing.

Horizon Soccer Spring Break Camp

U8-U19 BOYS AND GIRLS

The Skills and Finishing Camp gives forwards, midfielders and defenders experience going to goal while improving first and second touch, shooting and finishing. The camp is run by Srgjan Smileski.

Horizon Soccer Summer Camp

11 and under; 12+

Player Development camps serve campers ages 11 and under, while High Performance camps are for campers ages 12+ seeking to improve their game. The curriculum covers technical, tactical, physical and psychological development.
