Where on the ladder
Level 3 to Level 5
Each level below lists the leagues this club plays in. Your kid's level depends on the team they make. The six levels are our own reading of public league play. They are not an official ranking.
Sanctioned by Illinois Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer). The club’s site also lists US Club Soccer. We have not confirmed that from the body’s own member list, so we do not call the club sanctioned.

The programs, age by age
These come from the club's site, grouped the way the club groups them. Your kid starts in the one that fits their age.
Elite
U11 to U14; U15 to U19
As teams progress into the higher divisions within their competitive leagues, the coaching staff highlights tactical elements, positional responsibilities, transitions, and technical precision. The program includes year-round training for U11 to U14 and high-school-age training for U15 to U19.
Select
Players learn through fast-paced, game-related activities focused on individual technical development and small-group partnerships. They are encouraged to problem solve creatively and develop an understanding of their positional role during the four key moments of the game.
Academy
The primary focus is developing each child’s basic motor skills in a one player-one ball environment designed to be fun, engaging, and rewarding. The program offers mid-week technical training and bi-weekly game day experiences.
Goalkeeping
Ages 8-10; Ages 11-14; Ages 15+
Age-specific training covers goalkeeping fundamentals, shot-stopping, distribution, leadership, organizing teammates, consistent execution, and competition. Every goalkeeper at FC Lake County has the opportunity to join age-specific training in the fall and spring for free.
SAQ & Technical Camp
U9 to U14
The camp blends Speed, Agility & Quickness training with technical development, including first touch, passing accuracy, 1v1 attacking and defending, finishing, and game awareness.
Pre Season Camp
BOYS - U9 to U14; GIRLS - U9 to U15
This training prepares each player and age group for the season through small- to large-group environments centered around technical, functional, and tactical game-day concepts.
Academy Camp
Children born in 2019, 2020 & 2021
This camp centers each session around having fun and building each child’s confidence in possession of the ball. It is for children with little or no prior experience.
Technical Training Program
U9 & U10; U11 to U13
The five-week program focuses on ball mastery and dribbling, running with the ball and moves to beat a defender, passing and combination play, receiving under pressure, and shooting and finishing.
College Soccer Pathway Program
U-15 to U-19
The program helps prospective student-athletes and their families understand the college soccer search and recruitment process through presentations, workshops, team showcases, and individual player identification events.
