Little Strikers

U5-U8 · 3v3 or 4v4

The Little Strikers Program is a year-round program for ages 4-8 that introduces and enhances technical development in a free-flowing environment encouraging independent thinking, decision-making and self-discovery. Games use a 3v3 or 4v4 format with no goalkeepers.

This program offers a transitional bridge between the Little Strikers into the U9-10 Academy. Players train weekly Fall, Winter, and Spring and play friendlies and possible tournaments.

The FC United Youth Academy is intended for players of various abilities, with an emphasis on expanding the player's technical foundation, problem-solving and independent decision-making. Teams participate in the Iowa Soccer Association's Youth Academy League and play approximately 6-8 league games.

The U11-12 Premier Select Program is intended for players who are passionate about soccer, committed to training and committed to competing. Teams participate in the Eastern Iowa Youth Soccer League and play approximately 8 games.

The FC United Academy is intended for players who are passionate about playing soccer, committed to training and committed to competing. Teams participate in the Iowa Soccer League, the EIYSL, and/or the National Premier League as assigned by the club, and play approximately 6-10 league matches per season.

U16-19

The High School and College Development Program prepares students and soccer players to pursue post-high-school goals through technical, tactical, fitness and psychological development. Training and events are conducted by the Professional Staff.

ECNL1 and preECNL1

This is the highest competitive level, for players identified as most prepared to currently compete at the Elite Clubs National League level. Accepting the bid means prioritizing ECNL games and all assigned events as primary competition commitments.

This is the ECNL Development Track for emerging players who train and play in the ECNL player pool. Game-time priority includes club-scheduled games and events aligned with the player's projected developmental plans.

Super-Skills

All ages

Super-Skills programming provides an additional opportunity to improve technical ability and proficiency, emphasizing individual technical skill, ball control and ball striking.

Speed & Agility, Quickness

U11 and older

The SAQ program includes fast-footwork, starts-restarts, lateral movement and resistance training, focusing on speed, posture, change of direction, core stability and flexibility.

GameTime

U8-U15 · Futsal-style small-sided games

Game-Time consists of small-sided games similar to Futsal, with limited coaching to promote creativity. The sessions help enhance skill, problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

FC United SuperSkills Summer Camp

U9-U12; U13-U16

The camp provides an additional opportunity to improve technical ability and proficiency in a fun and focused competitive learning environment. Training emphasizes dribbling, escaping pressure, passing and receiving, body posture, and ball striking and finishing.

College ID Clinics

Birth years 2008-2006

These winter clinics give players the opportunity to be coached and showcased for college coaches seeking players for the next level. The clinics are exclusive to FC United players and included in annual dues.

Personalized and Private Individual to Small Group Training Program

Players may select individual or small-group sessions focused on technique and mechanics, goalkeeper-specific training, or speed, agility, quickness, conditioning and endurance. No groups shall exceed 3 players.
