Each level below lists the leagues this club plays in. Your kid's level depends on the team they make. The six levels are our own reading of public league play. They are not an official ranking.
Sanctioned by Colorado Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer). The club’s site also lists US Soccer and US Club Soccer. We have not confirmed those from the bodies’ own member lists, so we do not call the club sanctioned.

PRACTICES
Players receive skills and tactical training in Complete Possession Tactics, team organization, and preparation for formal team competitions in league and tournaments.
COLORADO STATE LEAGUE
two 8-game seasons (Spring and Fall)
League play offers two 8-game seasons (Spring and Fall), organized and sanctioned by the Colorado Soccer Association (CSA).
TOURNAMENTS
All LFA Rush teams participate in 1-3 local Denver-metro tournaments (depending on the level and age of the team), with the occasional out-of-state travel tournament.
FRIENDLY MATCHES
Local scrimmages between LFA Rush teams and neighboring club teams make for good competition in between league seasons and tournaments.
FREEPLAY
Pick-up or “street” soccer, is called Free Play at LFA Rush.
SEASONAL CAMPS
LFA Rush offers Summer Camps.

Rick Lizondo
Director of Coaching
ages 10-18
He has been coaching and teaching youth soccer since 1998, in association with clubs such as Longmont Express, Storm North, Longmont United Soccer Club, FC Boulder, Trebol Soccer Club, SVFC, and now LFA Rush. For 15 years he owned and directed Soccer Dynamics, an independent youth soccer organization, working with clubs as a training clinician, team coach and technical consultant, in addition to providing private lessons and summer camps. During his time in youth soccer, Rick has coached well over 100 competitive teams from ages 10-18 in both league and tournament settings.
He graduated with a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Architecture in 1992.
Garrett McEnaney
Executive Director & Coach
Garrett has been coaching all levels of soccer from youth, to middle school, to high school level for the last 10 years and is excited to be LFA’s goalkeeper coach.
Seanan Kelly
Coach
Almost all of his competitive club soccer years were spent playing for Rick Lizondo at both SVFC and LFA.
He graduated from Silver Creek High School in Longmont and is currently in his senior year at CU Boulder where he’s studying Biomedical Engineering.
Rikky Coke
Coach
Rikky is from Loveland, CO, and has been involved with soccer in some capacity for almost his entire life. In 2024, he returned to the club as a coach.
He has an Associate of Arts degree from Front Range Community College, and is currently pursuing his BA in Philosophy with an Ethics and Public Policy concentration at the University of Northern Colorado.
Josh Rodriquez
Coach
After moving to Colorado, he played at Berthoud High School and later coached at multiple levels, including serving as an assistant coach for girls’ high school soccer and leading several recreational teams.
