Birth-Year Registration

Grouping players by calendar birth year, January to December.

Birth-year registration places players in age groups by calendar year. US Soccer mandated it nationally from 2017, then stopped: since the 2026-27 season a league may use birth year, an August 1 cutoff or a September 1 cutoff, and it picks for itself.
