Each level below lists the leagues this club plays in. Your kid's level depends on the team they make. The six levels are our own reading of public league play. They are not an official ranking.
The club also played in USYS NL. That league ended in July 2026 and merged into National 1, so it does not count above. The club’s site also lists Soccer Rhode Island, NESCL, NECSL (New England Club Soccer League). We have not placed those leagues on the ladder, so they do not count above.

RAMS FC teams
U8-U19
RAMS FC will have teams for male and female athletes in the U8 through U19 grade years for the 2026/2027 season.
Academy Program
The club offers a club-wide Academy program, including indoor sessions with URI men’s soccer players serving as clinicians and demonstrators.

Coach Rushy has been coaching soccer for 30 years now and has coached at almost every level except the professionals. He works closely with Head Coach Gareth to run RAMS FC.

Kyle Froberg
Head Coach
2008 Boys and U19 Boys
Currently going into his 2nd year as head Coach with the RIC Men’s Soccer team; previous role was with URI as the Goalkeeping Coach. Served on URI staff for five seasons from 1998-2002. Coached the boys’ team at North Kingstown High School from 2006-2015, leading the Skippers to Division I state titles in 2007 and 2014; state’s Coach of the Year three times. Has been with the RAMS FC program since 2013.
Rory Watters

Started his journey with Challenger Sports as a coach back in 2020, coaching in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Has also coached for the competitive teams in OSNK and Barrington YSA.

Boys 2011/12 and Girls 14/15 Team
Started coaching in 2012 for Challenger Sports, working for several clubs and communities across New England, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Has worked with the U15 FC Dallas academy and alongside Tony Dicicco on the soccer plus camps.

Has long been involved in RI Youth Soccer as a coach, board member, Director of Coaching, and Founder of the Southern RI Futsal program. Has been coaching youth soccer for the last 15 years, and in RI club soccer for the last 8 years. Played Division I collegiate soccer at the University of Hartford and also played at the Catholic University of America.

Has been with the RAMS for 3 years and been coaching for 18 years. Spent many years coaching in Chariho and with the Warwick Firefighters Association, coaching various age groups and serving as Division Coordinator for the U8-10 age groups. Spent one year with Bruno United and was an assistant coach for the Exeter-West Greenwich Boys high school team for 3 years.
Johnny Vieira

Played and Coached NCAA D I soccer for Grand Canyon University. Was part of the GCU Women’s Soccer staff at the Division I Collegiate level. Over the past decade coached thousands of young athletes from the west coast to the east coast, including Alaska and Hawaii. Recruited and trained hundreds of Brazilian and European Soccer coaches to run camps, academies, and clinics in the States. Has been with the Rams since 2016.

Started coaching in 2011 after achieving coaching qualifications in sports coaching. Has coached all over New England, mainly in southern R.I. and parts of CT, with Westerly Youth Soccer, Stonington Soccer, and South County Youth Soccer Club. Has been with the Rams for 3 years and was awarded Coach of the year within the club.

Has been coaching with the Rams for 6 years. Played club and high school soccer in Orlando, Florida and played Division 1 soccer at Cornell University. Teaches mathematics at South Kingstown High School.

Came to Rhode Island from Southern New Hampshire, where he trained the goalkeepers and helped Southern New Hampshire reach the semifinals of the Northeast 10 Championship in 2022. Played collegiately at the University of New Hampshire (2013-14) and Post University (2016-17).
