Roster Limit

A cap on how many players a college program may carry.

A roster limit caps squad size rather than scholarship money. NCAA Division I replaced its per-sport scholarship limits with roster limits on July 1, 2025, and the soccer limit is 28 players for men and for women. A program may fund all of them, some of them, or none.
