Level 3 to Level 5
Each level below lists the leagues this club plays in. Your kid's level depends on the team they make. The six levels are our own reading of public league play. They are not an official ranking.
Sanctioned by Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer). The club also played in NPL. That league ended in July 2026 and merged into National 1, so it does not count above. The club’s site also lists US Club Soccer. We have not confirmed that from the body’s own member list, so we do not call the club sanctioned. It also lists Chesapeake Premier Soccer League, URSL. We have not placed those leagues on the ladder, so they do not count above.

Last season City Soccer Club Frederick fielded 11 teams in the leagues we track: 6 boys and 5 girls, from competitive regional down to state & premier. The ladder tops out in N1/MAPL at U13.

Mini-Citizens Academy
3-6 year olds (Preschool and Kindergarten)
An introductory level soccer program that uses creative games, story lines, and small sided games to develop fundamental soccer skills. It includes one practice per week on Saturdays.
U7/U8 Futures Academy
6-8 year olds
Introduces a team concept and competitive games while focusing on individual development, sharing the ball, spacing, and the five FUNdamental skills of soccer. The 8-week program includes two practices per week and one game per weekend.
Junior Development Academy — Competitive Teams
U9-U12 · 7v7 / 9v9
Creates a fun learning environment focused on technical skills, tactical ideas, decision making, and creativity. Competitive teams play travel league games, attend four tournaments, and receive one session of indoor training.
Junior Development Academy — Development Teams
U9-U12 · 7v7 / 9v9
Provides developmental training with URSL league games on weekends in the spring and fall and an URSL end-of-season tournament each season.
URSL
Junior Academy — Competitive Teams
U13-U14 · 11v11
Introduces players to 11v11 play, with increased intensity and competition in practices and games. Competitive teams play travel league games, attend four tournaments, and receive one session of indoor training.
Junior Academy — Development Teams

Provides development-team play with URSL league games on weekends in the spring and fall and an URSL end-of-season tournament each season.

Supports high school age players through weekly team trainings, spring travel league games, four tournaments, goalie training, and college advisory programming.
Fundamentals Soccer Day Camp
ages 6 – 10 (Rising 1st-5th Grade)
A fun, safe soccer environment for players of all levels and abilities, with fundamental skill instruction and games and activities. No soccer experience is required.
Advanced Soccer Training Clinic
U9 – U14 (3rd-8th Grade)
A clinic for experienced players who are serious about improving their soccer skills, combining fundamental skill instruction with games and activities.
City SC College Program
High school aged players
Provides college preparation resources, recruiting tools, guidance, one-on-one counseling, and assistance identifying soccer programs and universities that are a good fit.
