Level 3 to Level 5
Each level below lists the leagues this club plays in. Your kid's level depends on the team they make. The six levels are our own reading of public league play. They are not an official ranking.
Sanctioned by Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer). The club also played in USYS NL. That league ended in July 2026 and merged into National 1, so it does not count above. The club’s site also lists US Club Soccer. We have not confirmed that from the body’s own member list, so we do not call the club sanctioned. It also lists National League USYS EDP, EDP Futures, EDP Futures League, SAM Select, MDSL, USYS NL EDP D1, USYS NL EDP D II. We have not placed those leagues on the ladder, so they do not count above.

CUBS Clinic Program
U4 - U7
The Cubs Clinic Program for younger players focuses on introducing basic soccer skills in a fun-filled, developmentally appropriate environment. The CUBS Program provides a seamless segue way to U8 Team membership for older players the following fall.

Regional U8-U10 Teams
U8-U10
The U8-U10 Program builds on the soccer skills from the Cubs program with a stronger emphasis on technique and development. The objective is to prepare players to compete at the highest levels of Travel soccer.
EDP Futures
Competitive Travel U11-U19 Teams
U11-U19
The competitive travel program includes practices, league play, goalkeeper training, scrimmages and tournaments. U11-U14 teams play fall and spring league soccer, while U15-U19 teams typically sit out the Fall Season for high school soccer and resume for post-season tournaments.

Individual Training
Regular Summer Day Camp
4 - 18
The Lions Soccer offers regular day summer camp for players ages 4 - 18, with half-day and full-day options. Camp focuses on technical and tactical skills, goalkeeper training, friendship, respect and love of the game.
Summer Evening Camp
4 - 18
The evening camp develops players in the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of the game, with separate breakout sessions devoted specifically to each position.
Intensive High School Preparation Camp
This intensive camp is designed especially to help players prepare for their high school seasons, with position-specific breakout sessions for goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards.

World Cup and Team Captain for the 1990 and 1994 Cameroon National Team; Earned 113 caps playing for the Cameroon National Team; Established The Lions Soccer in 2008.
Louis Mbouh
Assistant Director of Coaching and GK Trainer
U8; U9 White; U9 Blue; U10 Blue; U12 White; U18 White
Louis spent 11 years as a professional playing in the 1st Division in Cameroon. Played two years in France. Played for Cameroons U20 National Team. Co-founder The Lions Soccer.
Khuluma Zulu
Coach
U11 White; U12 Grey; U12 Blue; U15 White
Played at the collegiate level at the University of Maryland in 1984 and 1985, and professionally for two years (1994 and 1995) with the USISL Washington Mustangs. He has been coaching and providing training to youth in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area since 2003.

From 2012-2018, he played in the professional Division I league. He played in UPSL & MMSL in Maryland for the Super Delegates (2019) team followed by Sure Sports (2020) and Baltimore United (2021).
