The Workers Cup
13+Best for tweens & teensIMDb 6.8Free
Adam Sobel's film goes inside Qatar's labor camps, where African and Asian migrant workers building 2022 World Cup facilities enter a company-run soccer tournament of their own. On the field they are treated as heroes; off it they face long hours, low wages and little freedom to leave. The film follows one company team through the competition.
Why we picked it
It puts a human face on the true cost of a World Cup and asks who pays for the events we celebrate. A useful, non-graphic way to help a young fan think about fairness beyond the scoreline.
