Escape to Victory
8–12Best for kidsIMDb 6.7
In a WWII prisoner-of-war camp, Allied captives are pushed into a propaganda match against a German national side and plan to use the game as cover for an escape. Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone lead a cast that includes real football legends Pele and Bobby Moore. It is released in the US simply as Victory.
Why we picked it
A genuine sports classic where actual legends play on screen, and the staged match, including Pele's famous bicycle kick, is a great talking point for young players discovering the sport's history.
