There's Only One Jimmy Grimble

Jimmy is a shy Manchester City fan who freezes every time he plays in front of a crowd, until an old woman gives him a pair of football boots he believes are magic. Wearing them he turns into the best player at his school, and the boots are the only reason he thinks he can do it. Robert Carlyle plays the teacher who coaches him and Ray Winstone the man circling his mother.
