India loses 10-1 at the 1952 Olympics and coach Syed Abdul Rahim sets out to rebuild the national team from scratch, scouting players across the country against a federation that wants him gone. He is fighting lung cancer through most of it, and the film ends at the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta. It runs just over three hours.
Why we picked it
